Time is money, and you work hard for your money. You can make very
good money on Mercedes Benz repairs as long as you maximize your
time efficiency. The more complex the electronic systems in these
vehicles get, the more important it is to have the proper tools to
keep your business operating as efficiently as possible. A simple
electronic problem can drive you crazy. You can spend the better
part of a day trying to locate a faulty unit. Some scanners will
only tell you that you have a problem, which, of course, you already

run, you can print out the list of codes to show to your customer.

diagnostic you run.
Let’s say you repair 15 Mercedes Benz a month. The diagnostic fee on
each totals 1.5 hours, and you charge $90 an hour. In one month, you
will have charged $2,025 for diagnostics. By the end of one year,
that total grows to $24,300. Now that is a significant increase in
profit.
